Delivery
High end furniture delivery, measured by what arrives undamaged.
The difference between a general carrier and a specialist is not the truck. It is who is carrying the piece, what goes down before it moves, and whether anyone is accountable when it does not arrive the way it left.
High end furniture delivery is the movement of expensive, fragile or irreplaceable furniture by trained handlers rather than general freight crews. It includes protecting the access route before the piece moves, placing the item in its final position, unpacking it and removing the packaging. Ateam Logistics has done this since 2011 with a damage rate under 1%.
A damaged piece is rarely just a damaged piece. It is a refund or a remake, a second delivery, a client conversation nobody wants, and on a retail account a review that stays on the listing permanently. The delivery is the cheapest part of the transaction and the part that decides how the whole transaction is remembered.
What separates a specialist from a courier is almost entirely process. Floors, doorframes and lift interiors are protected before anything is carried. The route is walked first. The number of people on the job is set by the piece rather than by a standard crew. And the job is not finished when the item is inside the building, it is finished when the item is in position and the packaging has gone.
The standard
Delivered, placed, unpacked, packaging gone.
A delivery that ends at the front door is not a delivery for this category of goods. The client has paid for the piece to be where it belongs, not for a crate in a hallway and an afternoon spent breaking down cardboard.
Every job finishes with the item positioned, protection removed and all packaging taken away on the same visit.
Access
Narrow stairs, small lifts, heritage buildings.
The jobs that go wrong are almost never the straightforward ones. They are the ones where the lift turned out to be too small, the stair turn was tighter than the drawing, or the building only permits deliveries in a booked window nobody checked.
Access is planned before the day, not discovered on it. Where a piece genuinely will not fit, that is established before it is loaded rather than on a client's landing.

Questions
The ones we are actually asked.
- What counts as high end furniture delivery?
- Any delivery where the value or fragility of the piece means a general courier is the wrong tool: designer furniture, stone and marble, oversized dining tables, mirrors, lighting, artwork and one-off commissions. The defining feature is that damage cannot simply be absorbed, because the piece is expensive, slow to replace or genuinely irreplaceable.
- What is your damage rate?
- Under 1%. It is the number worth asking any specialist carrier for, and the reason the process around the delivery matters more than the vehicle.
- Do you deliver for retailers as well as designers?
- Yes. Online furniture retailers, showrooms, makers supplying stockists, interior designers and private clients all use the same service. What changes is the volume and the booking pattern, not the handling standard.
A conversation, then a proposal.
Every proposal starts with understanding your business: what you move, how much, how often.
